In recent years in Ireland, there has been an enormous growth in interest in traditional music and song. Radio Telefis Eireann producer Michael Holmes introduces listeners to Sean Potts, a founding member of the internationally renowned Chieftains. He learned about Irish music from his father, and his father before him. Now, even as rock music and pop culture are invading Ireland, young Irish men and women are continuing to choose traditional music as a form of self expression.
