Unsafe, clandestine abortions are one of the most serious and uncommonly documented of women's health problems. Religious and social taboos make abortions illegal in much of the world and in all of Latin America. Each year an estimated 15 million women worldwide secretly undergo abortions and, of this number, at least 200,000 women die and many more suffer grave, long term health complications. Producer Martha Honey examines the intricate debate over abortion in Mexico.
