D-Day Diary

On June 6, 1944, thousands of Americans swarmed ashore on the coast of Normandy, backed by the most powerful invasion force the world has ever seen. Many never reached the shore, while others died on the beaches. This program uses the words of D-Day veterans, spoken by actors, to recreate the atmosphere and events of the invasion -- the longest day.
