A New Test for Bone Strength


How can you tell if a bone is getting ready to break? NASA wants to know, because astronauts get weaker in weightlessness. So, a joint NASA-Industry-University team came up with a portable device that can measure the stiffness of bones quickly and easily without using radiation. Sara Arnaud of NASA's Ames Research Center explains.
