Creating South Africa (Part 2)
A new flag, a new national anthem, and a multiracial government are all
part of the new South Africa. But the country's auspicious beginning
must now be followed by the hard work of governing. In this program of
Common Ground, the second in a two-part look at the new South Africa,
citizens discuss their country's brighter future. Interviews include
Klippies Kritzinger, professor of missiology at the University of South
Africa; Mzome Mathe, organizing secretary of the South African Council
of Churches, Ladysmith; Ed Tillet, spokesman for the Inkatha Freedom
Party Information Centre; Jenny de Tolly, president of Black Sash; and
other residents of South Africa.
