Thomas F. McLarty


On June 29, 1994, Thomas F. "Mack" McLarty, who has has moved within the White House from the position of Chief of Staff to other duties, spoke at a National Press Club luncheon. McLarty defended the record of the current administration on its achievements and pending initiatives. He described the new chief of staff, Leon Panetta, who was formerly head of the Office of Management and Budget, as a very competent Washington insider.
