The Information Superhighway, with its expansive reach, will change the way we work, do business, and communicate worldwide. This technology-based method of interaction will alter our world in a profound and permanent manner. This talk examined how telecommuting, desktop conferencing, Internet-based multimedia, and the Information Superhighway will affect the way in which we communicate in the 21st century. Mr. Morgridge's talk will be released as an Internet Talk Radio broadcast.

Dr. Jerry Pournelle, Senior Contributing Editor of Byte Magazine will speak on "Who Will Survive the Information Highway?" By the year 2000, everyone in the modern world should be able to get an answer to an answerable question. That was Jerry Pournelle's prediction in 1978, and today's technology appears to be right on schedule. This presentation examines the world of information organizers, their ability to convert data into useful knowledge, and issues such as free exchange of information versus restricted access and looking at potential winners and losers as the millennium approaches. Mr. Pournelle did not permit us to tape his talk for use on Internet Talk Radio.

Clifford Stoll, Author, speaks on "Stalking the Wily Hacker." Network security is one of the most compelling issues facing the world of information technology. This presentation tells the story of how the discovery of a 75-cent accounting error led to an electronic chase of an unauthorized hacker across the networks of North America and Europe, ultimately uncovering a KGB spy ring. Mr. Stoll's performance is now available on the web as an Internet Talk Radio broadcast.
