Ramesh Govindan earned his B. Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. His early research work was on process scheduling and inter-process communication mechanisms for digital audio and video applications. Mr. Govindan has been at Bellcore for about a year and a half. An erstwhile Pip-per, a significant portion of his time is now committed to writing SIPP specs and code. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, yoga, music, reading and other good stuff he wishes he had more time for.
