Return to the Showcase Directory Awards and Recognition: Duet Competition-1994, 1st in State Duo Competition at Catholic Forensic League, Chicago -1995, 16th in the Nation National Forensic League Tournament in Boca Raton, FL -1995, 11th in the Nation in Individual Humorous Interpretation Glenn Brooke Tournament in Illinois -November 1995, 1st in Humorous Interpretation Arts Education Background: Ashley has had four summers training at Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Center and was an apprentice for Tulane University Summer Shakespeare Festival in 1995. She also received Superior + at the highest level set by the National Federation of Music in piano proficiency. Ashley has appeared in several productions at the Stagedoor Manor, Academy of the Sacred Heart and Saint Thomas More High Schools, Tulane University Summer Shakespeare Festival, and the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Arts and the Community: Ashley has loved performing since she was a young child. She is now a Senior and is still pursuing her dream of a career in Musical Theatre. She is very active on her school's Forensic League and has been in every school play. She has participated in local Little Theater. Ashley has played the lead role at the college level at the University of Southwestern Louisiana and also played the lead role in productions at Stagedoor Manor in New York besides numerous other roles. Ashley is a member of her church youth group and is a Music Minister at all school functions. She loves playing the piano and has been taking lessons from Dr. Wm. Chapman Nyaho, who performs throughout the world. Ashley's dream is to one day perform on Broadway. Return to the top
