A strong manufacturing base is needed for a strong economic future in the 21'st century. 2. The current trend at the college level is that students ar looking for a career in the service industry. Majority of students do not think manufacturing is an attractive field to pursue. This issue needs to be addressed. How do you think we can attract the next generation to this field ? 3. Is the commitee getting input from all the sectors of industry ? If not how is the commitee going to get a feel of the pulse of the industry ? 4. What is the role of industry and educational institutions in this plan ? There is no doubt that Industries must take a leading role. How is the government going to address this issue. Thanks, Ravi
