This special edition of UNFORMATTED is an experiment in the musical application of Progressive Network's "RealAudio" compression format. RealAudio allows AM Radio quality transmissions of spoken word audio over the network, even to a 14.4 modem on a dialup connection. Can this tool be adapted to music applications? Ctrl-Z produced a set of material of varying sonic content to test the limits of musical applications of this exciting new tool--what you are about to hear is "Not Available in Any Store".
