Atlantis and Mir, Together at Last


This month [June, 1995] for the first time in twenty years, a U.S. spacecraft will dock with a Russian spacecraft in orbit. Space Shuttle Atlantis will rendevous and dock with the Mir Spacecraft and remain attached for four days. Shuttle Commander Hoot Gibson explains that the mission is challenging on many levels.
