Brewster Kahle
Carl Malamud interviews Brewster Kahle, the father of WAIS
and the founder and president of WAIS, Inc. Brewster was a member
of the AI Lab at MIT and went on to be one of the original researchers
at Thinking Machines. In this interview, he discusses his vision
of personal publishing, of a network of seamless libraries of
information, and of his efforts to work with large and small
information producers to get their data online. Brewster Kahle
was recently named a member of the Internet Engineering Steering
Group.
